About the Product

Gamma (γ)-PNA is a backbone-modified PNA incorporating a stereogenic center through substitution at the γ-carbon of the backbone. This stereogenic center enables γ-PNA oligos to adopt an intrinsic alpha-helical structure, which reduces self-aggregation, improves solubility, and promotes the formation of more stable duplexes with target DNA. These structural features significantly enhance binding affinity, and because modifications can be introduced at any γ-carbon position, diverse applications, including internal multi-labeling, are feasible.

With superior solubility, stable duplex formation, and high binding affinity, γ-PNA is recognized as a highly attractive material for use in diagnostics and drug development.

* The side chain of γ-L-Lys-PNA allows further conjugation of modifications, providing a broad range of structural variations.
